About the event
Our guiding idea: each of us is on a distinct personal path and the only point is to tap into our own creative wellspring. Each day of the retreat features a two and a half hour main class in fiction, nonfiction, or poetry, as well as various optional workshops and activities, all at Camp Mokulēʻia.
Enrollee: Private Lodge Room
The retreat opens after lunch on Monday, April 24 with a workshop followed by a special leimaking session. Workshops in fiction, nonfiction, and poetry run from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday through Friday, with the same instructor and colleagues all week. Each afternoon features an additional session or an offsite excursion, as well as time to write. evenings alternate between readings, performances, writing time, and casual hanging out. Saturday, April 29 features three special workshops.
Enrollee: Shared Lodge Room
You are an enrollee. Full week; on-site Lodge Room being shared (with another writer or spouse/companion); meals included. This ticket and fee covers only yourself. Non-enrollee? Choose Non-enrollee's ticket instead.
NonEnrollee: Shared Lodge Room
You are a non-enrolled attendee. Full week; on-site Lodge Room being shared (with an enrolled writer); meals included; activity included. This ticket and fee covers only yourself. Enrollee? Choose Enrollee's ticket instead.
Enrollee: Lodged Offsite
With this option, you pay for your own lodging. Lunch is included, but if you would like to join us for breakfast or dinner, you will pay for those "a la carte." You have full access to all workshops, extra sessions, and activities, including on Saturday, April 29.
Enrollee: Saturday only
Saturday, April 29 features three special workshops and includes lunch. Workshops include "Sin & Syntax," "Composition Seen and Read," and one generative writing workshop. From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Enrollee: PRE-paid by Check
If you have already paid by check, select this option to complete the registration process and get a "ticket." (Your ticket will say $0). Contact Connie now if you are requesting a special fee, which applies only to you. Then arrange for timely receipt of your check (sent to Connie) in order to be registered.
