O‘ahu Writers Retreat
E komo mai! Please join us for our spring retreat, held April 22-28, 2024. There are three main tracks (fiction, nonfiction, and memoir) as well as many other sessions. Registration opens January 15, 2024.
Registration consists of both completing the enrollment form below and paying (make sure to click through to the Purchase page). We can't hold a spot for you without those two steps. Both parties in a shared room need to register.
If you want to dip a toe in, consider coming to our two-day retreat in November, after Thanksgiving. Both days, 10 am to 4 pm.
Contribution for scholarships: Each year we try to provide scholarships to emerging writers in Hawai‘i. If you’d like to donate, please add any amount to your payment. We’ll apply it toward a scholarship for a worthy island writer. (See and select contribution amount at the bottom of the form below.)
Regarding transportation and lodging (for April): The fees do not include airfare to Hawai‘i. We will help to coordinate one shuttle van from the airport on Monday morning, but we cannot guarantee transport out to Mokulē‘ia. You may want to rent a car, but that should not be necessary. The fees for the retreat include food, workshops, and activities. Some fee plans already include rooming in the workshop lodge. Otherwise, lodging is available at separate cost in nearby areas.
